Well, I suppose this is cheating as I actually haven't read the book. Eh bien, je suppose que c'est tricher comme je l'ai effectivement n'ai pas lu le livre. However, as a Slovenian by background who will be returning there next year, this is one book I most definitely will be picking up after reading the above reviews. If this third edition of Lonely Planet Slovenia is anything like the first, it warrants a complete overhaul of the section entitled “WW II & the Partisan Struggle. We honeymooned in Slovenia in June, 1998. Nous lune de miel en Slovénie en Juin 1998. Our hostess in Bled let us borrow her copy of this book when we went camping at Lake Bohinj. Well written and conceived. Bien écrit et conçu. The brief history was helpful to help understand the people and the circumstances of the people today. In describing the various geographic areas of the country I would have liked more pictures. En décrivant les différentes zones géographiques du pays, j'aurais aimé plus de photos. The written explanations were great but never having been to the country, more pictures would have helped. Les explications écrites ont été formidables, mais n'ayant jamais été au pays, plus de photos aurait aidé. I think it would be a great addition if there were internet video links to get a really good feel for the geography.
